There are many types of solar kits. They can be used for a wide variety of applications. You can use them for home electricity or portable kits can be used for charging laptop batteries or cellular phones. No matter how the amount of electricity that needs to be stored or utilized is, there is going to be a solar panel kit that is going to power it.
For many people, solar kits allow them to create a secondary source of energy that they can use in case of an emergency. When you live in the middle of nowhere and you are going through a power outage, it can be quite some time before the problem is solved. Having a solar kit in place gives you the security you need to stay in touch with civilization.
Other things that can be charged are the things that you would normally have hooked into the wall. Things like laptops and cameras all run on charges and when the electricity goes, so goes the ability to repower your electronic gadgets. A solar kit gives you a viable option to keep them up and running at all times.
When a bigger task is at hand, like having power for an entire home, there solar kits that are available for this as well. These are what are commonly seen in the form of solar panels on the roofs of homes that collect the energy from the sun and store it in batteries. Some homes are actually able to “get off the grid” because of their solar power.
If your home is too big to be powered completely by solar power, the overall electrical costs that the homeowner is faced with are cut down drastically with the availability of solar power. While there is the obvious cost to have the solar kits installed, over the years those costs will be recovered and from that point forward, the house is running cost free.
There many more uses for solar kits, but you get the idea as to how useful they can be. When you want to save money or guarantee that you will have an energy source during a disaster, you can do no better than to look into getting one of the many solar kits that are available for all of these reasons.

Admittedly, the immense popularity of solar power nowadays is largely due to the fact that it can save money on your monthly utility bills, although of course this is not the only reason why more and more people are turning towards solar power.
Simply by being aware of some of these reasons, you’ll be able to understand why so many people are deciding to have solar power in their homes. Out of interest sake, here of some of the reasons why solar power has become so popular.
One: One of the reasons that residential solar power is a good idea for a lot of people is because once you get it installed, it is pretty much maintenance free. This means that the upkeep of your solar power will be very low.
Two: Another remarkable quality of solar power is that the solar panels are for the most part long lasting, meaning that you don’t need to replace them on a regular basis, and thus saving your money in the long run.
Three: Solar panels are made in all different shapes and sizes, which means that no matter what your homes design is, you can pretty much install solar power almost anywhere.
Four: Unlike in days gone by, solar power has become more and more affordable for the average person. At the same time, oil and gas prices continue to spiral out of control and as a result more and more people are finding they can save money by installing solar power.
Thanks to modern technology we now have the ability to convert the sun’s energy into electrical power using solar power systems. When one considers that the sun can provide us with such an abundance of energy, it only stands to reason that solar energy is a more cost effective alternative to what we currently use.
While the reasons listed above are for the most part, the most important reasons for most people, they are certainly not the only reasons why solar power has become so popular. Of course, while it does pay to be familiar with these reasons, one also needs to take some other factors into consideration.
First of all, one needs to take into consideration whether of not there is sufficient sunlight. In other words, if you live in an area with a high annual rainfall, or if your house is built in an area where there is much shade, then perhaps solar power may not be the right choice for you.
As you can imagine, it’s crucial that you take the weather into consideration and whether or not you get a sufficient amount of sun because ultimately this will be the deciding factor.
Two: You have to take into consideration your local ordinances. There are some cities that will not allow you to use solar power. So, check with your neighbors and check the laws regarding this before you decide to use residential solar power.
While them maybe certain other factors to take into consideration, these which have been mentioned are perhaps the most important, with regards to installing residential salad power. Hopefully you will now be in a better position to make a decision considering you’re familiar with the various reasons for installing solar power, and also what factors you need to be aware of.

Hi
Today I thought we would have a look at the pros and cons of solar energy, please take a look and add to the list via the comment box below and see how many more pros or cons we can come up with:
Advantages And Disadvantages Of Solar Energy
Advantages
- There is virtually an unlimited supply of solar energy for us to use and it’s renewable. This signifies that our trust on fossil fuels can be decreased in direct proportion by the quantity of solar energy that we consume.
- Solar energy is an excellent alternative energy source as there’s no pollution generated while it is being utilised so consequently each time we use solar energy we reduce pollution.
- There is no cost involved with using solar power other that the price of constructing the components, buying and installing. After your initial investment there is no additional cost associated with its use.
- Solar energy is flexible and expandable. This means that you can expand a solar electric system to fulfill your needs.
- As our use of solar energy gains, our demand on fossil fuels reduces. This will prolong the time before our supply of fossil fuels runs out.
- There is no pollution linked with the use of solar power. No greenhouse gasses so consequently, no pollution.
- A solar electric system installed in a home could potentially eliminate over 30 tons of greenhouse gas emissions over its lifetime.
- Using solar energy is a silent procedure. No noise pollution.Whilst heating appliances use fossil fuels there is always the danger of a cracked heat exchanger, which causes CO2 poisoning. This is not a problem with solar energy use.
- Solar power is the most dependable way to supply electricity to isolated places where the price associated with installing power lines makes it impractical.
Disadvantages
- Potentially large areas of land are needed for mass solar energy projects.
- Not many places in the world have got adequate constant and intense sunlight to make commercial use of solar energy practical.
- If you live in a region where there is restricted amounts of sunshine it may be difficult to sustain a constant supply of solar energy.
So there we have it the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages so if you would like to find out more about solar energy and how to help save the planet take a look here. CLICK HERE

Hi,
Chris from solar kits here, now what I would like to know is if this is true(see pic below) why does someone not do it or at least start some kind of small scale project there ?
Possible answer is maybe it would be impractical to run thousands of miles of cable across the atlantic plus it would probably be run by some greedy corporation who would charge lots of money for the privalage of using their energy source.
So here´s the answer, as new homes and business´s are built fit them with solar panels, older properties should get goverment grants to install solar capturing devices to their homes which in turn eliminates the need for a large scale electrical grid in the Sahara run by greedy corps, thus placing the power back into the hands of the people. Now I know there are lots of you out there who will disagree or possibly agree so please leave a comment down below I would love to hear your views.
