Solar Fence Post Lights in all Varieties

Fences Come in All Shapes and Sizes as do Fence Lights
Tall privacy fences are increasing popularity with the plastic (PVC) option. The lifetime of a PVC fence is far longer than the traditional wooden fence, and they look neater and cleaner. Wooden fences on the other hand have a rugged country appeal. Both are good, so it really depends on the look you are trying to achieve. A privacy fence can create a nice backdrop for landscaping. Split rail fences in wood or PVC, are still a favorite among landscapers since they do not hide the landscaping but will actually enhance it. Stone fences add elegance to a yard with the rich earth colors and massive structure. Whatever your fence option, it is good to know that there are numerous inexpensive lighting options. Lighting a fence provides several benefits that make the investment worthwhile.

Solar post lamps are economical because you do not have to install electrical wiring. The lamps run on rechargeable batteries, which charge daily from the sun. You save money again, and again by not having to pay electrical bills. Best of all, the rechargeable batteries pay for themselves and the led lights last for 100,000 hours. That means less waste, and less hazardous waste, for the landfills.

Solar Post Cap Completes a PVC Fence

The ever popular PVC privacy fence or split rail fence comes with a standard post cap. This finishes off the raw edge at the top of the post. If you want the post to be functional by providing light in your yard or along the walkway, then consider replacing the standard fence post caps with solar fence post caps. Adding lights to a fence along a sidewalk will provide safety and security to your home entrance. Also adding solar fence post lighting to a privacy fence will brighten your yard, which may otherwise, be dark by the solid fence. Enhance the atmosphere of a deck or patio with solar post cap lights. Solar post caps usually are available in white and black, and sometimes in other colors such as brown. They even work on wood fence posts, which can add an interesting look to the dcor.

Solar Lamp Post Lights add Elegance

Solar Fence Post Lights in all Varieties

Traditional pole lamps are out and solar pole lamps are in. They still provide the same usefulness and elegance along a driveway or front walkway. However, they also offer the benefit of being energy efficient. Take that one, step further by bringing the elegance into your private back yard. Add matching lamppost lights to the top of your fence posts. The extra brightness of the open design cannot be beat. You will benefit by being able to see the landscaping around your fenced yard all night long. Investing in good quality solar lamppost lighting will assure the lights stay lit all night long even on those occasional overcast days. Achieve a real touch of elegance by building a pair of brick or stone posts at your driveway entrance. Place a solar lamppost light atop each one.

    Solar Railing Lights are Versatile

I found a neat little light that has several benefits that others do not have. It is about 1 inch across and about 15 inches long. The versatility of it makes it worth the purchase. Because it is so small around, it can be easily set in the ground along a pathway using the optional stakes. Remove the stakes and use the optional mounting clamps to attach the light to a fence railing. These solar railing lights are especially nice around a deck or a fence along a pathway. Use them as solar step lights leading to your deck or porch for safety when walking at night. You do not have to worry about hitting it with a mower since it is only about 1 inch wide. Best of all they only require 2 hours of sunlight for a full charge so you can put them most anywhere and enjoy the light all night long.

Solar Post Lights Come in Many Shapes

When you think of solar post lights, you typically think of them as mounted on the top of a post. Consider mounting solar post lights on the side of a post. One example is again a split rail fence along a pathway. This light will light a path or stairs with a bright light for safety when walking at night. There are numerous ways to use the light around your home by mounting it on any vertical surface. Install it high on the wall or fence to enable the light beam to reach out further over a larger area. Consider mounting it on a deck that is high off the ground with the light beam pointing down on to the yard or patio below. Consider mounting it above a doorway to light the entrance. It will work on any vertical surface, even the side of your camper.

Never Flip a Switch Again-Go Solar Outdoors

When was the last time you looked at solar outdoor lighting? If you think posts, stakes and hanging lights along a pathway  are your only choices, you’re in for quite a surprise.  From gardens to ponds to decks to walls, the original and creative choices in outside solar lighting will make you want to run to the store and purchase some for your backyard before you’re done reading this article.

Let’s start off with solar tiki lights. These lights mimic the original without the worry of open flame and the inconvenience of refilling the oil or liquid fuel. And when you go to bed for the night, no need to extinguish either! Then there are color-changing solar globes that are made to rest on a post or pedestal or float in a pond or pool. The rotating hues create a mood-enhancing effect whether in or out of the water. Solar powered flood lights are perfect for highlighting a garden statue, creating a shadow or lighting a far corner of the garden. How about that umbrella shading your patio table? Yes, there are solar lights for that too. Have problems seeing your address numbers in the dark? Solar address lights make it easy and you can relocate the solar power panel up to eight feet away (somewhere sunnier in case your address stake resides underneath a shade tree or doesn’t get enough sun on the wall where it’s mounted). You can enhance your deck or fencing by installing solar post caps and never worry about messing with electricity.

When it comes to pathway lighting, you have quite a few creative and surprising choices. Dangling solar lights from classic shepherd’s hooks is always charming, but what about lighting the bricks themselves in a walkway?  Solar brick edging comes in an easy-to-install kit and works for landscape edging or pathway edging. Or you can add stepping stones with solar lights in the center that are designed to be walked on. With outside living spaces growing in popularity, you can even find solar lights created to be mounted horizontally making them ideal for lighting walls, fences, columns, and more.

Got a gazebo way out in the middle of the backyard and don’t want to take electric to it? Solar string lights are the perfect answer. From whimsical ornamental lights to shed lighting kits, the opportunities for outdoor solar lighting are endless. And you don’t even have to call an electrician to install them! So if you’re looking to add some ambiance to your outdoor room, there is almost nothing you can’t enhance with solar lighting. Keep an eye out at your local retailers and check online for all the latest and greatest solar lighting products. And take pleasure in it all without raising your energy bill!
